Enzymes and Digestion
Enzymes, well the truth is we stop reproducing them after we are 30 years old....
What are they.. and how does it effect my digestion??
Well the food we eat is exposed to a cocktail of digestive enzymes. Each enzyme speeds up the reactions that break the food into useable molecules, the Role of digestion is to acquire energy by digesting food into small molecules. And then absorbing these molecules.
This starts in our mouth with our saliva and chewing...and the bulk of our food is broken down in in our stomach and small intestine. Absorption is when molecules pass into our bloodstream. Assimilation is when those molecules enter our cells. Elimination of waste is the job of the colon lymph and lungs, kidneys, and skin.
That is in in a nut shell without enzymes we do not break down our food properly, we have enzymes that are release throughout each step in our digestive process. From the time we take our first enzymes are release and at work. In our mouth, stomach, small intestine, the liver, pancreas unfortunately most of us lack severely in this area, This has a huge impact on our digestive process as a whole.
So how do we get enzymes? I supplement I am a big fan of digest gold they specialize in enzymes, They also sell digest spectrum for those that have a dairy and gluten allergies. Make sure when you choose a supplement you do your research there is a lot of vitamins that are marked and really don't deliver... marketing today is a double edge sword...
