Healthy Digestion

The truth behind what we eat, and why is important to have healthy digestion, and what can we do to improve our digestion. A lot of people including myself struggle with eating disorders in one form or another. There is a phrase I like to use one is to many and a thousand is never enough. At least when it comes to those addictive behaviors around food, such as sugar which I refer to as crack. Or the carbo craze.. Now I am a firm believer in celebration and treats but even at that there is a healthy way to go about that. There are treats that even nourish our bodies as I will go into further later on. If we looked at food as gas  or fuel to fuel our bodies rather than what makes us feel good. Food is not our enemy or for taste rather its for nutrients it is the component that gives us life energy and stamina. my passion for health cooking

My passion for healthy cooking started way early in my teenage years, I always liked cooking. As far as I can remember I was always looking at cooking labels, looking at the ingredients and finding new way to recreate new dishes. Although when I turned 18 I was highered on as a cook at a sizzler and my cooking passion took off, cooking came natural to me. I soon was running the kitchen.  Where I became obsessed with healthy cooking came from my passion of fitness the two passioned collided. I soon started studying nutrition and found myself finding ways to recreate my favorite dishes that where, well not so healthy and finding was to may them healthy and make them taste amazingly great. What happen to me was i soon realized that there was a disconnect between health and fitness, a lot of people in fitness where actually not healthy. I struggled internally with the two different beliefs and for lack of better terms diets. There is one thing I am passionate about is making health food taste great! So Nikkia and I started Old Harbor Sustainable Seafoods this year as a mission and a dream. We wanted to provide high quality Seafood from Alaska while at the same time providing jobs for a rule village in Alaska that from an outsider perspective could be considered a 3 world country or the last frontier. A village of maybe a 100 people that depends on the government for there housing food and education. Is in dier need for an economic boost. Living here alone has is an exspence, There is no roaads accessing this village and the only way to recieve food and goods by plane and or by boat. This picturesque village is unique in that its raw ruggedness, but also its natural wildlife. Nikkia fell in love with Alaska about 20 years ago and was born with the blood  of a native. I am in the vortex

The universe it amazing when you are living on purpose everything is taken care of for you. You don't have to do anything.. I honestly didn't grasp this concept, Fully until this past week. I am in the vertex, I have been trying to get here my whole life... I am in!! Everything , everything , everything I am doing is in line and on purpose and falling right into place, every phone call is linkin g up- with - this person -i know - with that person- I know- wanting - to connect with that idea and its all good and its all over whelming at times.Its all in line with my hearts desire, all you have to do is put out to the universe what it is you truly desire and do it, and don't take less than you deserve! Put your intention out to the universe and you to will manifest it! Dr Wayne Dyer says act as if you already have it!

These are things that i do and use everyday in my life that I have found to be very beneficial in achieving success in living a true healthy balanced life style! This is my passion and I would love to share it with you. The truth is I have recently got through a huge transformation, I left a relationship, I gave up anything and everything that I thought meant anything to me. All those things where keeping me lost and confused and I was in prison. I am free from my own insanity. The truth is, and has always been I am a Hippie and I am passionate about health and nutrition I mean real health and nutrition not the FDA bull shit I mean the  go back to when we all worked together and grew our own food and traded commodities. The Amazing Raw Kefir!! Take your beautiful grains and stain then the juice you get from your grains is kefir! The grains grow so fast so I brake them up and I put them into separate jars 1-10 new raw milk! I put one out side one the top of my fridge and the rest I put in the fridge to slow down the growing process. I alternate every couple of days so I have fresh kefir ever other day!! www.wendysebastian.com

Today we will go over Raw Feta Cheese You will notice if you fallow the pictures it's very easy. You take the grain we where draining yesterday for 24 hours and you put it in a bamboo basket ( you get it from your local Asian store or online). Flatted cheese (prior to this step is if you desire to ad any dried herbs for taste) wrap the cheesecloth around cheese and weight it down I use a jar. Then leave for 24-48 hours depending in moister. It should be dry with a moist center. Cut into squares and put it into a mason jar. Depending on how much you make the bottom 2 inches of the jar should be a salt water bind and the the rest the rest I fresh filter watt and put in the fridge it will last up to a year!! Before using I like to soak in fresh water for a couple if hours to let the salt water soak back out of the cheese!!! www.wendysebastian.com
